The Gypsy Frog

I sold my home in Hesperus and bought a fifth wheel. It is now my world when I’m out and about. And I like it.

My favorite features:

-it’s 13 ft high. Spacious. And with 5 slide-outs the interior has ample room.

-It has a fireplace that is fueled by either electric or gas. And a massive big screen TVs that lifts being the fireplace and can be lowered when not in use.

-There are two recliners with heat/massage and two couches that foldout into queen beds. This allows for six sleepers.

– central vac.

-I had two solar panels and two lithium batteries installed for alternate , earth friendly power. My ecological footprint is very small.

-two vanities and a full shower in the bathroom. The biggest I’ve ever seen in an RV. It also has washer/dryer hookups.

-there’s a walk in pantry in the kitchen! And an island with a full sink. But I really love the pantry as I can keep my critical appliances like coffee maker and blender tucked away. And tons of food storage area. The refrigerator and microwave are full sized.

It feels like a home. I sit in front of the base fire every morning and drink my coffee and listen to classical music on the Bluetooth interior/exterior stereo.

What a life!

I have decided to take it on the road for the summer so am dusting off the blog. I intend on taking a whole bunch of pictures. 😁

Indianola Indian summer

First I started near Indianola last summer and then moved to Mountain Shadows RV park for the winter.

I bought a cabin

I recently bought a cabin in Hesperus, Colorado.  I love it thus far.  I intend on making upgrades to it, including meditation gardens.  I will be documenting the changes here on my blog.  I’m a green thumb and am super excited about the greenhouse.  I also don’t mind the sauna and jacuzzi.

Oh!  I also have a big huge pond!  Pics of that coming.

I purchased all of the internal furniture on Facebook Marketplace for $2,630.  Including a baby grand Wang Chung.

I will be bringing in solar panels to provide energy source for both home and pond.

After the Storm

IMG_2699
And after the storm,
I run and run as the rains come
And I look up, I look up,
On my knees and out of luck,
I look up.
Night has always pushed up day
You must know life to see decay
But I won’t rot, I won’t rot
Not this mind and not this heart,
I won’t rot.
And I took you by the hand
And we stood tall,
And remembered our own land,
What we lived for.
But there will come a time, you’ll see, with no more tears.
And love will not break your heart, but dismiss your fears.
Get over your hill and see what you find there,
With grace in your heart and flowers in your hair.
And now I cling to what I knew
I saw exactly what was true
But oh no more.
That’s why I hold,
That’s why I hold with all I have.
That’s why I hold.
I won’t die alone and be left there.
Well I guess I’ll just go home,
Oh God knows where.
Because death is just so full and man so small.
Well I’m scared of what’s behind and what’s before.
And there will come a time, you’ll see, with no more tears.
And love will not break your heart, but dismiss your fears.
Get over your hill and see what you find there,
With grace in your heart and flowers in your hair.
And there will come a time, you’ll see, with no more tears.
And love will not break your heart, but dismiss your fears.
Get over your hill and see what you find there,
With grace in your heart and flowers in your hair. (Mumford & Sons)

Be

“Be”

Lost
On a painted sky
Where the clouds are hung
For the poet’s eye
You may find him
If you may find himThere
On a distant shore
By the wings of dreams
Through an open door
You may know him
If you may

Be
As a page that aches for a word
Which speaks on a theme that is timeless
And the one God will make for your day

Sing
As a song in search of a voice that is silent
And the sun
God will make for your way

And we dance
To a whispered voice
Overheard by the soul,
Undertook by the heart
And you may know it
If you may know it

While the sand would become the stone
Which begat the spark
Turned to living bone
Holy, holy
Sanctus, sanctus

Be
As a page that aches for a word
Which speaks on a theme that is timeless
While the one God will make
for your day

Sing
As a song in search of a voice that is silent
And the one God will make for your way

The Geese of Beverly Road

jordan-river-parkway-geese

We’ll take ourselves out in the street
And wear the blood in our cheeks like red roses
We’ll go from car to sleeping car and whisper in their sleeping ears
We were here, we were here
We’ll set off the geese of Beverly Road

Hey love, we’ll get away with it
We’ll run like we’re awesome, totally genius
Hey love, we’ll get away with it
We’ll run like we’re awesome

We won’t be disappointed
We’ll fight like girls for our place at the table
Our room on the floor
We’ll set off the geese of Beverly Road

Hey love, we’ll get away with it
We’ll run like we’re awesome, totally genius
Hey love, we’ll get away with it
We’ll run like we’re awesome

We’re the heirs to the glimmering world
We’re the heirs to the glimmering world
We’re the heirs to the glimmering world
We’re the heirs to the glimmering world

We’re drunk and sparking, our legs are open
Our hands are covered in cake
But I swear we didn’t have any
I swear we didn’t have any

Hey, love, we’ll get away with it
We’ll run like we’re awesome, totally genius
Hey, love, we’ll get away with it
We’ll run like we’re awesome

We’re the heirs to the glimmering world
We’re the heirs to the glimmering world
We’re the heirs to the glimmering world
We’re the heirs to the glimmering world

Oh, come, come be my waitress and serve me tonight
Serve me the sky tonight
Oh, come, come be my waitress and serve me tonight
Serve me the sky with a big slice of lemon

We’re the heirs to the glimmering world
We’re the heirs to the glimmering world
We’re the heirs to the glimmering world
We’re the heirs to the glimmering world
